Co-founder and CEO
Ahmed leads ContagionSystems and the development of risMicThinker. An AI/ML research scientist, he builds predictive intelligence for risk in complex, interdependent systems.
ContagionSystems grew out of doctoral research into how failures travel through interdependent systems: infrastructure, supply and financial networks. The same patterns govern all of them, yet almost none of the commercial tools reflect that.
Our team’s background is in systemic risk, systems simulation and AI: years of research on how shocks travel through connected systems, and why most risk models look at the wrong thing. That work earned national research awards and produced peer-reviewed results. It also left a frustration. The methods that worked in research weren’t available to the people actually carrying the risk.
risMicThinker, our live risk-forecasting platform, is that research, made usable.
Most risk tools collapse dependency, counterparty exposure and correlation into a single number. That’s why the exposures that actually stop operations are the ones nobody saw coming. Keeping them apart is harder, and it’s the only way to see how failure really moves.

Co-founder and CSO
Wael leads the science behind risMicThinker. A professor and the founding director of a research institute on systemic risk, he models how interdependent systems fail.
Co-founder and CTO
Mohamed leads the engineering of risMicThinker, turning its forecasting models into a reliable platform. His doctoral research applies machine learning to hazard prediction.
Co-founder and COO
Mohamed runs operations at ContagionSystems and brings risMicThinker to clients. A professor specializing in risk and resilience, he builds machine-learning tools that predict how large infrastructure systems perform under extreme events.
